Updated August 5, 2006: I’ve found a new way to reach a BofA customer representative, at least in California:
- Call 1-800-622-8731, which is listed in the BofA’s Contact Us page.
- Press 1 for more options, then press *.
I’ve removed the old information, since it just seemed to be confusing people.
thank you thank you thank you!!
you rock!! I did speak with a living being!!!
thank you so much!!!!
You’re welcome! I’m glad at least two people actually found this posting at all, let alone used the information. 🙂
I just noticed that this posting is now the #8 hit when searching for bank of america phone number on Google. Whoa.
Awewsome, got through straight away.
You should publish this on a billboard!!
Wow, thank you so much. It was really quick. I talked to the person and got thing done in 5 mins. The number helps alot.
This is amazing, thank you! I had some questions about non-resident non US citizens having a bank account at Bank of America. I called this number and the person on the phone knew all the answers! I could not find a phone # on the B of A website!!!!!!!!
I called the number above: 1888 341 5000 on Aug 24 and reached a live person, who said: (in regards to my ATM & debit card) “call the number on the back of your card (1800 622 8731), then put in your acct #, last 4 numbers of social security #, and THEN, push *1 to speak to a customer service rep”. I did, and got a real live, pleasant person who told me that the other way to get a human being is, after calling the 800 622 8731 number (on the back of ATM/debit card), then push 0* three or four times. I didn’t try it, but I bet it works. good luck
Praise God SOMEBODY figured a way past the B of A automated fortress!
THANK YOU!
Bless you. Gave 888.341.5000 a test; it worked. I now have the road in for closing my B of A account in the morning!
I called the number and received a message that stated “We cannot take calls on this number. Please call back.”
No much help there.
Thank you~ I hate B of A.
Thanks for the number that was a great help. BofA can kiss my ass, its like they dont want their customers to even call them. Ive got questions and i need some damn answers! F*CK this bank so HARD! mother F*CK!
This great link popped up after a google search, wtf is that about?Thank you again.
THANK YOU!!! Obvioulsy you KNOW how hard it is to find this Bank that wants to make false claims of ‘Pride in Customer Service.’ I can’t believe that they can continue in business. I bank there ONLY cause right now I’m in the middle of a divorce and can’t touch change my account. Believe me, as soon as I can, I WLL!! P.S. #3 on Google search. They must screw A LOT of people to have this get there!! lol
bank of america sucks
what a crock of crap, thanks for having this site, i am quitting them right now!
I can’t stand BOA, thanks for giving me the room to vent! I spent 1/2 hour looking for a # for them, thanks also for provding that. Now I am sitting on the phone with them for over an hour getting reconnected to different people as they’ve seem to misplaced my miles I’ve earned over the past year. I’m quitting today!
Thanks for the info. Very helpful. Extremely fustrating trying to talk to a human.
My cousin, in Germany, needs to change his mailing address. Is there any way to contact Bank of America for him to do this? Bank of America in the states will not do anything for him unless he gives someone power of attorney or puts them on his account. All the man wants is to change his address.
Sorry, I have no idea. You may want to try contacting a consumer advocate in your area. Good luck.
i like to write bad checks and buy things i dont have money for thanks boa
Automated calling systems are the most annonying thing on earth. Sometimes its hard to believe that humans actually work for these large corporates , by the amount of comments you have received here is hoping you get to #1
I opened a money market acount and gave them authorization to transfer 34000 dollars in funds. They did notinitiate a transfer. I try to get in touch with customer service but could not. I got frustrated and closed my acoount. A week after I closed my account they intitated a money transfer out of my citi checking accout. I was charged $34 for over draft by citibank. I tried to contact BOA and had no luck. At this point I send them a reistered letter and filed a suit in small claims court. This is not for the $34 but for the frustration they have caused me.
Dear Bank of America officials
I am so pleased to do business with BofA
it’s a pleasure being a customers here
and I would love to deal with you because
the people of BofA that I talked to on the phone respect me so much and I love you all
please keep up the good work
sincerely
-Charles
Wow. u guys are all a bunch of fucken idiots! Except for charles! Any body who doesnt live under a rock knows that automated systems blow, but if you have half a brain, you should also know that they are all just there to weed out the douchebags that dont need to waste somebodies time! You can call any financial institution and get past the automated system by pressing any combination of buttons because eventually the system realizes that you dont know what you are doing, or you are too impatient to actually listen to the options (which you would find helpful if you took a chill pill) and it will transfer you to an associate. Find something else to bitch about people!
p.s. you complain about bofa so much, but you probably dont know the first thing about them. Try banking with somebody else for a year. You’ll be singing a whole different tune!
Bank of America no longer has a 24 hour help phone number. Hours are only from 7 AM to 10 PM.
B of A, We, the taxpayers saved your derriere, it is time you and your busy, lying, fat bonus receiving executives to pay attention to the people who saved the bank! Calling B of A is a big waste of time. I must admit, I hated B of A before, now I just abhor then.
