Obviously this prevents Java or Flash on the iPhone. Not everybody is a big fan of programming in Objective-C. Of course some folks aren't daunted by the license. <a href="http://blog.neontology.com/" rel="nofollow">Tim Burks</a> is already busy bringing Ruby to the iPhone.
